a while ago, i watched a how-to recipe video online with my mom. the narrator and the cook was a very cheerful person. at the end of his presentation of the spaghetti carbonara, he enthusiastically said, “ENJOY!”. that’s been a code of happiness between us tWo.

well, this weekend, i’ve eaten way too much food. somehow, having a companion increased my appetite. since yesterday, i had cereal, rice with grilled pork, vegetable soup, iced lemon juice, chocolate moose, deep-fried fish, chilli paste with vegetables and rice, onion and sour cream prinkle, bananas, apples, tuna in crackers, apple cider juice, more fish with rice and omelet, chocolate chip ice cream, some wiggly sour jello and papaya salad with boiled eggs.

that’s quite a list.

all that to say, i’ve had a very enjoyable and laughter-filled weekend with mom. now only 5 more days, and i’ll be home with my whole family!

God blesses us with a day of rest for some reasons. one is that we can get recharged and be ready for the next 6 days of work.

and another is to…ENJOY!

have an awesome week, guys!

Oh! We missed the papaya salad! We kept trying to find it at restaurants (since Nui said it was her favorite meal) but never did find it. Maybe I’ll have to get a good recipe for it from you and your mom!

yeah, papaya salad is one of my all-time-favorites. 🙂 if you wanna make one, it’s really easy if you have all the ingredients. sometimes if you can’t find green papaya, there’s always carrot and sometimes other kinds of fruits you like (apples, grapes, green mango, etc.) here’s the link i think it might be useful…but you can google it for more 🙂 http://www.thaitable.com/Thai/recipes/Green_Papaya_Salad.htm

the tip is that things that you use have to be fresh…that’s pretty much it. lol
