the evening was at its glory. the golden beam magnificently shone from behind the clouds and brought fourth the ray of hope and joy. it was like looking at the delicate painting of a well-into-details painter. every brush and every twist of hands give breath to the creation. it seems like there was no other desire for the creator except that to please himself and those who would later behold the beauty.
i was standing in awe before the Creator’s glory. and to think that this isn’t even half of the fullness we will get to witness when we and Him are together… my heart leapt at the thought.
what will it be like if the Savior opens not only our eyes, but all of our senses to the maximum ability…to see, to hear, to feel, to taste and to smell all that the world and beyond has to offer?
Jesus deserves all the praise and honor we have to offer because, simply put, He is great. but it’s so shameful that we can’t even give Him half of what He deserves. and that’s why grace is so amazing. casting crowns’ “in me” has the part that goes, “how refreshing to know You don’t need me. how amazing to find that You want me. so i’ll stand on Your truth and i’ll fight with Your strength until You bring the victory by the power of Christ in me.”
you and i are indwelt by the Spirit of God Himself. we embody the beauty He has bestowed upon this earth. shouldn’t others have this share? shouldn’t they be able to see His craftsmanship within and through us? like today’s evening sky, it represents His beauty. it broke my heart to think that such beauty is usually gone unnoticed…like Jesus…who has to endure so much to get the attention of His own clay.
grace and humility…the Divine became flesh so that we may receive His sight to see the Lord through the eye of God-man.
it’s my prayer that i will become like the sunset sky…that i may manifest His beauty to the searching eyes…that i may be a true masterpiece that points directly to its Painter…that the world may behold His glory through this willing canvas. it’s not about us. it’s about Him.
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
Jesus, You are so beautiful…beyond words can describe. and i’m glad i’m Your daughter.
