God’s Espresso Cup

“Espresso won’t be espresso unless it is mixed well with hot water.”

Pastor Tawat

christian life is like a cup of espresso in the early morning. the aroma is refreshing. the taste is awakening. a cup can totally make a difference to most of the sleepy-head.

without pain and suffering, christian isn’t a christian at all. for Jesus “did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (matthew 20:28)

every christian has a cross to carry. this is our cross:

– life in Christ

– dedication to Christ

– partaking in both joy and pain with Christ

– living in purity for Christ

through tears and suffering in our individual life, the Holy of Holy enters into this broken world and brings out the most refreshing aroma and the most awakening taste that will make such difference in a person’s life.

we are God’s espresso cup. are we willing to let Him pour hot water into our life despite the cost?

Great post – right at the heart of true Christian living!!
Your Jim Elliot quote at the top made me wonder if you have read a GREAT new book which contains Jim Elliot’s own words transcribed from old wire recordings (made by his Dad). It is a truly inspiring book full of notable and quotable material.
“JIM ELLIOT: A Christian Martyr Speaks To You” (ISBN 9781615797646). This book has certainly challenged my Christian commitment and daily living.!
May God continue to bless your ministry for Him.
