Simplest Joy

sometimes the simplest things in life can bring the most joy…

something like the shaft of afternoon sunlight splashing into the quiet hallway and remembering the glorious moment in the sky when the clouds are just a reach away

or the hard back-bending work of washing clothes by hands…how when the labor is done, though small it may be, brings me satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment

or the laughter echoing in our work station when we talk about the guys we have a crush on or someone tears up when she talks about the tv series she loves

or the spiritual insight gained by spending time close to God’s heart…hearing Him speak to me through books and people…learning about humbleness…

or the excitement i get when thinking about giving my friends at church postcards from china with scriptures on…the anticipation to see their faces lit up with smile…or just the hope that the messages i write may bring words of encouragement to them…

it is great to be back in chiang-mai. God is good…ALL THE TIME.

colors also make me smile. 🙂
