Laughter At Parties

oh, the day of laughter and MORE laughter! this evening, i was invited to my friend’s mother’s birthday party. it was supposed to be a surprise but someone from her church kinda spilled the bean. hahaha. she went ahead anyway as it was her mom’s 70th anniversary.

there were about 10 of us and a whole bunch of food. grilled fish, fresh veggies, spicy salad and pork on the sticks. then there were oranges (oh. so. good.), cake and ice-cream. i was sure i’d gained enough weight for just one night.

but after the party was over, some of us went to have the “te party” at another friend’s house. of course, i had to go because i came along with them. but it turned out to be so much fun.

our host served tea from france! it smelled like perfume. lol we sat out on his porch talking about weather, loy kratong festival, crazy experiences from the past and wild jokes. we were rooted there for 2 hours. and p.taii, the owner of the house, kept serving tea…more tea…then snacks…then fruits…then more snacks. i had such a great time. i was laughing so hard i thought i would crack my ribs.

this upcoming sunday, i am going to sing a special song during church again. i kinda dreaded about it a bit. but then God gave me this song. it’s about pouring our heart to doing God’s work in harmony…in unity. i think it’s a perfect song considering the fact that christmas is coming close. and there are a lot to prepare for. without God and “us”, we can’t do it at all.

it reminded me of the verse that says Jesus is the vine and we are His branches. we are to abide in Him for if we are apart from Him…we can do nothing.

tonight is the last day of loy kratong festival. tomorrow, i will be able to open the door and feel the breeze coming into my room again ( i have to shut it to muffle the noises).
